In order to ensure the safety of all Trenton Elementary and Jones Senior High School students, we ask that all early student pick ups occur before 2:15 pm in the afternoon. If you cannot pick up prior to 2:15 pm, please pick up through the car pool lines at 3:00 pm. Thank you.

Second quarter report cards were sent home with students today. Please take time review these grades with your child. Thank you.

Recently, the NCHSAA has voted to raise the pay for all officials by 10% per game. This pay increase went into effect on January 1st, 2023. Due to this increase, our conference has voted to raise ticket prices from $7 to $8 a ticket. The conference made this decision, and these new ticket prices will continue throughout the remainder of the 2022-23 sports season. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Jones County Recreation Youth Basketball Registration for ages 7-12 will be closing on Friday, December 23rd. If your child's not registered, they can't be placed on a team. Practices start on Jan 10. visit www.jonescountync.gov for a registration form.

Trenton Elementary School will have an Early Release for students tomorrow, Wednesday, December 21, at 11:30 am. Please enjoy you winter holiday break. Our regular schedule will resume on January 9, 2023. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Congratulations to Jones County teachers for receiving approximately $16,000 in Bright Ideas Grants from Jones-Onslow EMC! These grants will help support innovative projects and classroom activities. We appreciate our partnership with Jones-Onslow and thank them for supporting our educators!

Trenton Elementary will host its annual Christmas Program on Monday, December 19, at 6:00 pm. The Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grades will sing Christmas songs. The 4th grade will perform “The Greatest Snowman” while 2nd, 3rd and 5th graders perform the music that goes with the play. We need as many students to participate as possible. Please have the students dress Christmasy. We look forward to seeing you and your children at this event.

Jones County Recreation Department has the following upcoming events:
Tues, Self Defense at Trenton Elem, right after school. 3pm-4:30pm.
Tues/ Thurs Open Gym at the JC Civic Center, 5:30pm-7:30pm. We will have Coaches onsite leading drills and fundamentals.
Wed, Rec Volleyball Skills at the JC Civic Center, 3:30pm-5:30pm. A shuttle for Trenton Elem, Jones Middle School Students will be available if parents have signed the Parental Consent/Waivers.

REMINDER


Trenton Elementary School will celebrate Veterans Day on Friday, November 11, 2022. We will have no school on this day. Please enjoy your holiday.

We want to share Halloween events in our area. They are: Sat., Oct. 29th Maysville Halloween/Fall Festival 5pm, Market Square and Sat., Oct. 29th Trenton Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat 5pm, Piggly Wiggly, Trenton. Please be safe and enjoy.

Beginning this week, all bus ride changes must be received in the main office by 2:15pm. Also, if a student needs to be dismissed early please arrive at the school no later than 2:15 to receive your student. We hope these small changes will allow us to have a safer, smoother dismissal that protects instructional time for students and staff.
