This is an exciting opportunity for our TES Gators!

🇺🇸 We were honored to host a visit from the Daughters of the American Revolution, which was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the local chapter dedicated to patriotism, historical preservation, and education. This special event featured education about life during the late 16th century and a chance to try on clothes from the era!

Jones County Public Schools is grateful for the opportunity to be the first district in North Carolina to offer grant-funded professional development supported by the NCSSA, the North Carolina Alliance for School Leadership. Our lead teachers and principals do excellent work!

Jones County Public Schools was excited to host the NC Teacher of the Year, Ms. Rachel Candaso, for a tour of Trenton Elementary early this morning. Ms. Candaso was guided around the building with two of our 5th-grade leaders, as well as Trenton Elementary Principal, Ms. Donna Higgins. It was a special opportunity to showcase a few of the great things happening daily in our public schools across Jones County.
Please join us tonight at 6PM for our Veteran's Day Program. First through fifth grade will be performing. Students will meet in the media center at 5:45 to walk in together. Please have students wear red, white, and blue if possible. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight!

Good morning, Trenton Elementary School families! This is a reminder that report cards are available for pickup in the front office. The office is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, every week. End-of-grade reports, as well as other certificates and awards, are also available in the office. Thank you!

Good afternoon parents and guardians! Tomorrow is the first of several very important days at Trenton Elementary School. Your child and their teachers have been preparing for this day for the entire school year. Tomorrow, grades 3 through 5 will take their reading EOG. Friday, they will take their math EOG and Monday the 5th grade students will take their science EOG. Please make sure that they get adequate sleep and give them a hug of encouragement. If they will use their strategies, I know they will do fantastic! Go Gators!

Good afternoon,
Out of an abundance of caution due to inclement weather, tonight's CTE Honor Society and National Honor Society Inductions have been postponed to a later date to be determined.
Thank you.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Your 3rd - 5th grade student will take the End-of-Grade Assessments from May 15-19, 2025. It is essential that your child has a good night’s sleep and is present on these days. Students and their teachers have worked hard to prepare for these assessments, and we want them to have the best opportunity to show their growth! Suppose your child does not demonstrate proficiency on the Reading or Math End of Grade test. In that case, they will be provided remediation and a re-administration opportunity during the week of May 20-23, 2025. However, they must have taken the first assessment to qualify for this support and reassessment. Please call me with any questions.
Good afternoon parents/guardians of bus 149 we would like to inform you that there will be a double route all morning the week of May 5-May 9. So the students will need to be ready earlier than usual. Also Tuesday and Wednesday Bus 149 will be split between buses 135 and 137 in the afternoon. Thursday afternoon will be a double route with some students having to wait for another bus to return to bring them home as to not overcrowd the bus. Friday afternoon there will be a substitute driver for bus 149, so expect some delays in your students getting home. We do apologize for the inconvenience and really appreciate your patience and understanding while we make sure your child/children get to and from school safely.
Good afternoon parents/guardians of students who ride bus 149. We would like to inform you that there will be a double route each morning the week of May 5-May 9. So students will need to be ready earlier than usual. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Good morning, parents and guardians. Transportation has advised that we will have a double route for students on Bus 149 this afternoon and again on Thursday afternoon; expect some delays. Buses will run on their regular schedules on Wednesday and Friday. We appreciate your patience as we work through these transportation matters.

We were just notified by the transportation office that bus 135 does not have a driver in the morning. The first bus in tomorrow will be going back out to pick up these students if parents or guardians are not able to bring them to school. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience and for the late notification.
Good evening! A driver has been secured and there will be no double routes tomorrow. Students can board their bus at their normally scheduled times. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Students that ride 149 will have a longer route this afternoon and will arrive later than usual. These students will be riding bus 135. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
